I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July.
Some will travel and see friends and relatives they haven’t been able to see in over a year. I think this is great! Make sure you stay safe whether you are traveling or staying home. Please follow these recommendations.
1. Be safe – plan ahead on lodging, fuel, and lodging. Carry extra water. It’s hot and dry all over.
2. Be careful – don’t get in a hurry to arrive quicker. Better getting somewhere safe than not at all. If using fireworks have water and a shovel handy to stop any fire.
3. Be aware – Watch out for other people who may spoil your weekend or possibly their own weekend.
4. Be courteous – a lot of people out there are angry. Sometimes, just a smile might give them a reason to let go some of their anger. Don’t be in such a hurry that you can’t say please and thank you, especially to workers that are serving everyone. People need encouragement not discouragement.
I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at the next meeting on July 22nd at 1830.
Semper Fi,
Wes
