Memorial Day is the day that we REMEMBER those that left home and never to
return where they left. We must REMEMBER those who have made the ultimate
sacrifice for us and pay them homage. It is a day to REMEMBER all veterans that
served and since have gone to be with the supreme Commandant.
Memorial Day has been consecrated to our departed Soldiers, Marines, Sailors,
Airmen., and Coast Guardsmen. This day truly gives us an appropriate occasion to
dedicate and re-dedicate ourselves to the preservation of the fruits of their victories,
and the sacred heritage that was purchased by their valor and sealed with their blood.
REM.EMBER!
This day bas been set aside for remembrance of our departed brothers and sisters in
arms, by the grieving hearts of their families and friends. WE CANNOT FORGET!
The generations to follow us cannot forget. REMEMBER! Our expressions of love
and sorrow will become an expression of gratitude and an acknowledgment of an unmeasurable
debt to countless of generations of Americans. REMEMBER! Glorious
are our deceased veterans who died for Liberty. Blessed is those whose blood was
shed for the welfare of their fellow men. Our sincerest gratitude for all veterans who
served this great nation but no longer are among us. REMEMBER!
Those that are not with us now have lived, they felt the sun rising at dawn, saw the
beautiful sunset glow, they loved, and they were loved. REMEMBER! Now they are
at peace. It is our prayer that they may have Peace for forevermore. They are at
Peace, for in the roar of conflict, they found the serenity of death. Their memories
fill our land like a benediction. REMEMBER! God is in a safe place, because the
streets of Heaven are guarded by United States Marines. REMEMBER!
Semper Fidelis Marines.
