On Behalf of Director Kat Miller
Dear Nevada Veteran Organization Leaders and the Veterans Community,
Across the world, health care facilities find themselves with critical shortages of personal protective equipment. Our State of Nevada Veterans Homes are no different. Fortunately, our amazing administrators and staffs had planned for an outbreak and taken aggressive measures to protect our residents and employees from this virus to the best of their abilities. But even the most prudent planning does not help us obtain needed equipment during a time when the whole world is competing for limited resources.
Wonderful partners, such as the Boulder City and Henderson Fire Departments, the Southern Nevada VA Medical Center, and others have assisted us with supplies and other support. But we could still use some help! Specifically, we are, or will be, short the following equipment:
1. Disposable Gowns
3. Face Masks
4. Face Shields
5. N-95 Masks
We are working on ordering, importing, reclaiming, reusing, and repurposing equipment and supplies and could definitely use your help. If you have or know of where we might find these supplies, please contact Amy Garland at firstname.lastname@example.org or 775-220-7731.
There is nothing more important than protecting our veterans and our team members. Their safety depends on getting this critical equipment and supplies. I would be incredibly appreciative if you can widely spread this email.
