Please find the referenced and attached materials supporting messaging on the availability of continuous glucose monitors at pharmacies. Please feel free to share the information below with your beneficiaries. Please note that the talking points are just for your informational reference should there be any inquiries on the topic, and they are not to be directly shared with beneficiaries. -- As of April 20, 2022, the Dexcom G6 and Abbott Freestyle Libre 2 continuous glucose monitors (CGM) became available to you at military pharmacies and at in-network TRICARE pharmacies. While CGMs are still available through TRICARE’s DME channel, CGMs picked up at pharmacies will be the more cost-efficient for most TRICARE beneficiaries.

Obtaining either prescribed CGM at participating military, pharmacies remain the lowest cost option for most TRICARE beneficiaries at zero copay. Copayments apply if picking up a CGM through the TRICARE retail pharmacy network and if ordered through TRICARE Home Delivery. If prescribed either CGM, you should contact your pharmacy for availability of the device.
